QDB project financing
The bank is not deciding whether your business is a good idea. It is deciding whether the cash the project throws off will cover the instalments — after the grace period ends, and still when prices move against you. That question is answered in a financial model, not in a description of the business.
What the application asks for
Your identification and commercial certificate are records you already hold. The feasibility study is the only item you have to build, and it is the one the credit decision rests on.
Identification for the applicant.
A current commercial registration for the applying entity.
Prepared in line with the bank's own policies and minimum requirements — the project case, the capital structure, and the repayment profile.
This is what we prepareRequirements as published in QDB's application guidance. Confirm the current requirements for your product and facility before you submit.
The part most applicants skip
QDB lists a set of supporting documents as optional. They are optional in the sense that the application will be accepted without them — not in the sense that they make no difference. Each one converts an assumption in your model into evidence.
We tell you which of these your file needs, and we build the model so that each one has a place to sit. Collecting them is work you do; knowing which ones matter is work we do.
Scope of work
Built around the questions a credit reviewer has to answer before signing, in the order they have to answer them.
Finance costs are presented under financing activities, with each instalment shown separately — so the reviewer can see the repayment, not hunt for it inside operating cash flow.
How the work runs
Your project, the facility amount you are seeking, and the tenor you have in mind.
Machinery and contractor quotations, product pricing, supplier terms and any approvals held.
Capital and operating costs, revenue, funding structure and the repayment profile.
You review the assumptions and the coverage numbers before anything is finalised.
The study issued in submission format, with the underlying model handed over to you.
What you receive
If the bank comes back asking what happens at a lower price, or on a longer tenor, or with a larger equity contribution, the answer takes minutes rather than a new engagement. The model is yours.
